Graduation ceremonies are held in May and December. August graduates attend the December graduation ceremony. In order to participate in the Commencement Ceremony, you must be in compliance with your degree program.
If you graduated in the Summer (August), your name is on that list. Therefore, you do not need to submit another application.
FILING ELIGIBILITY RULES: The Office of Academic Affairs will enforce the Commencement Policy as stated:
No one walks across the stage with any of the following:
Deficient number of hours or 3.0 grade point average in Banner
Unprocessed incomplete grades or grade changes (with the exception of Thesis/Dissertation)
Comprehensive exam retakes for a future semester
Pending defense dates for thesis or dissertation 听 听 听 听听
Therefore, consult with your advisor if you have any questions about your program. Certificate students will not participate in the commencement ceremony. In addition, graduate level students do not have academic honors recognition because you are required to maintain a level of excellence. May you continue to 鈥淭hink. Work. Serve.鈥�
